Bieber received four nominations for his unexpected return album “Swag,” including best pop vocal album and album of the year. This marks Bieber’s fifth nomination in the pop vocal album category, tying him with Justin Timberlake. Additionally, his songs “Daisies” and “Yukon” are up for best pop solo performance and best R&B performance, respectively.
Cirkut, a renowned producer from Halifax and previous Grammy winner, leads the Canadian nominations with seven nods. His nominations include producer of the year, non-classical, for his work on Lady Gaga’s album “Mayhem,” Ed Sheeran’s “Play,” and more. Cirkut is also nominated for record of the year for Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra” and Bruno Mars and Rosé’s “Apt,” as well as album of the year for “Mayhem” and best dance pop recording for “Abracadabra.”
Calgary pop sensation Tate McRae earned her first Grammy nomination for best dance pop recording for her track “Just Keep Watching” from the “F1” soundtrack, which is also nominated for best compilation soundtrack for visual media.
Previous Grammy winner Tobias Jesso Jr. from Vancouver, who won songwriter of the year in 2023, is nominated again in the same category for his contributions to “Swag” and other tracks. Meanwhile, the Victoria metal band Spiritbox is up for best metal performance.

Drake, making a return after his last nomination in 2024, received a nomination for best melodic rap performance with PartyNextDoor for their collaboration on “Somebody Loves Me.” In contrast, The Weeknd, who recently ended his Grammy boycott, did not receive any nominations despite releasing his album “Hurry Up Tomorrow” within the eligibility period.
