“Costco Recalls Chocolate Mousse Over Undeclared Nut Allergens”

A chocolate mousse product available at Costco is being recalled due to potential undeclared nut ingredients. Mellow Food is taking back specific batches of Delici Dubai Style chocolate mousse as there could be cashew and macadamia nuts present without being listed on the packaging. The impacted products were distributed from January to February.

Costco issued a statement on Tuesday alerting consumers of the recall, emphasizing that these undisclosed allergens could lead to severe allergic reactions, especially in individuals with sensitivities to cashew nuts or macadamia nuts. The retailer advised against consuming the product if allergic to these ingredients.

Identified by the Universal Product Code 812190020825, the six-serving chocolate mousse has been linked to the following affected lot codes and best before dates: BB/MA 27 FEB 26, BB/MA 02 MAR 26, BB/MA 04 MAR 26, BB/MA 05 MAR 26, BB/MA 06 MAR 26, BB/MA 09 MAR 26, BB/MA 11 MAR 26, BB/MA 13 MAR 26, BB/MA 18 MAR 26, BB/MA 25 MAR 26, BB/MA 27 MAR 26.

Customers are encouraged by Costco to return the recalled product to their stores for a complete refund. Both companies expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the recall.
