“Mystery Surrounds Disappearance of BC Mother”

Date:

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have expressed suspicions of foul play regarding the disappearance of a 51-year-old mother of three who was last seen in February. The case of Jennifer Provencal’s vanishing is complicated by the delay in reporting her absence, which was only noticed by her sister living in a different province nearly three months later.

Jennifer Provencal was last spotted on February 5 near her rural residence in Forest Grove, a small community located outside 100 Mile House, approximately 300 kilometers northeast of Vancouver. Her husband, Thomas Boulding, mentioned that they had a disagreement, after which he left their home. Upon his return, she was nowhere to be found.

Boulding revealed in an interview with CBC News that Jennifer had previously left on multiple occasions but would eventually reach out for him to pick her up from her location. He assumed this disappearance would follow a similar pattern.

Living in an off-grid property without cellphones, Provencal’s sister, Johanne Provencal, residing in Montreal, was unaware of her sister’s absence until weeks later. After several attempts to contact her, Johanne finally spoke with Boulding, who disclosed Jennifer’s disappearance on April 21.

Despite Boulding’s belief that Jennifer chose to leave, her family, especially her sister, finds it uncharacteristic of her to vanish without any communication. The absence of her cellphone and leaving her purse behind further perplexes her loved ones.

The RCMP’s major crimes unit is actively investigating the case and has indicated suspicions of foul play. They have conducted searches on Provencal’s property with canine teams. Boulding cooperated with authorities by providing personal items and electronic devices in the hope of aiding the investigation.

Both the police and Johanne Provencal are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward to assist in resolving the mystery surrounding Jennifer’s disappearance and bring closure to her family.
