“Canada Selected as HQ for Global Defense Bank”

Date:

Canada has been chosen as the headquarters for the multinational Defence, Security, and Resilience Bank (DSRB), as revealed by sources to Radio-Canada. The DSRB is a global institution that focuses on funding defense, security, and resilience projects for NATO members and their allied nations.

According to three sources familiar with the situation but not authorized to speak publicly, Canada has been designated as the host country for the new bank, as initially reported by The Globe and Mail.

It is anticipated that the establishment of the bank could generate around 3,500 job opportunities in defense finance, international operations, and specialized research and analysis.

Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver have all submitted proposals to host the DSRB. The final decision on the headquarters location will rest with the federal government.

The services offered by the bank would involve providing long-term credit and facilitating the coordination of multiple countries in purchasing defense assets collectively.
