A fire early Thursday morning destroyed a 20,000-square-foot modular home construction facility in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia, owned by Lloyoll Prefabs. The president, Jonathan Lloy, expressed concern for his employees and customers. Despite the setback, Lloy is determined to rebuild and continue operations.
Firefighters from the Liverpool fire department responded to the blaze, which proved challenging to extinguish. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. According to preliminary assessments, the fire was likely accidental.
Neighbours praised Lloyoll Prefabs for its community involvement and noted the company’s positive impact. Lloyoll, known for building and shipping homes across the Maritimes and beyond, had been experiencing a successful period before the fire. The company, established in 2010 and based in Brooklyn since 2015, is fully insured.
Lloy emphasized that the well-being of his employees is a top priority and assured them of ongoing support during this challenging time. Plans are already in motion to rebuild the facility and resume operations.
