“Old Dutch Foods Recalls Ridgies Chips Over Undeclared Milk Allergen”

Date:

Old Dutch Foods has issued a recall for one of its Ridgies chips flavors due to the presence of an undeclared milk allergen. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has raised concerns regarding Ridgies Sour Cream, Green Onion & Bacon Flavour Potato Chips as the milk allergen is not listed on the packaging.

The CFIA has advised consumers not to use, sell, serve, or distribute the affected product. The recall pertains to the 200-gram size of the product. Classified as a “Class 2” recall, there is a moderate risk associated with consuming the chips, potentially leading to short-term or non-life-threatening health issues.

The recalled products were distributed in various Canadian provinces, including Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and possibly others. The affected products bear best before codes including 2025 NO 06, 2025 NO 07, 2025 NO 13, 2025 NO 24, 2025 NO 25, and 2025 NO 26.
