Canucks’ Tyler Myers Fined $2,500 for Slashing Connor McDavid

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Tyler Myers has received a $2,500 fine from the NHL Department of Safety for a slashing incident involving Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid. The infraction took place during the third period of the Canucks’ 3-1 defeat against the Oilers. Myers was seen making contact with McDavid in the groin region with his stick as McDavid headed towards the net without the puck. Although no penalty was initially called, Myers was later penalized for delay of game at 9:07 of the same period.
