Actor Dylan Walsh from the series “Heated Rivalry” caused a stir when he hinted at the possibility of filming twelve new episodes, sparking excitement among fans who are now speculating about potential future seasons. The 62-year-old American actor made these remarks during a video on Cameo, a platform where celebrities create personalized videos for a fee. The video was reposted by TikTok user Savannah Leigh, who received it as a birthday gift.
Playing the role of Shane Hollander’s father in the show, Walsh expressed his love for being part of “Heated Rivalry” and hinted at returning to Canada to film more episodes. However, his disclosure may have crossed the line, as he later issued an apology and temporarily suspended his Cameo account, clarifying that he had spoken without official confirmation and did not intend to cause confusion among fans or the production team.
While Walsh is known for his roles in various TV series and films, the buzz continues to surround “Heated Rivalry,” especially after recent incidents involving the cast and production. Fans have been actively discussing the show online, with some suggesting that Walsh’s mention of twelve episodes could imply production for both a second and potentially a third season.
The first season of “Heated Rivalry” consisted of six episodes, and creator Jacob Tierney had previously mentioned his preference for shorter seasons. Based on the Game Changers series by Canadian author Rachel Reid, the show has garnered significant acclaim, winning prestigious awards such as a Peabody Award and a Canadian Screen Award for best drama series. Following its successful debut, Crave renewed the series for a second season, with filming primarily taking place in Toronto and Montreal.
In a recent announcement on social media, Crave Canada revealed five new cast members for the upcoming season, adding to the growing anticipation surrounding the show’s return. Among the newcomers are Emily Hampshire, Edvin Ryding, Robert Naylor, Sabrina Jalees, and Priyanka, who expressed excitement about joining the “Heated Rivalry” universe. The series author, Rachel Reid, also chimed in with praise for the new additions to the cast.
