Blue Jays star George Springer is on the road to recovery ahead of a crucial playoff game against the Seattle Mariners. After being hit by a pitch in the ALCS Game 5, Springer is feeling improved as confirmed by Blue Jays manager John Schneider. A CT scan revealed no major issues, only a contusion on his right knee.
Springer, who fell to the ground after the incident, received prompt medical attention and is now undergoing treatment. Schneider expressed optimism about Springer’s condition, stating that he is tough and likely to participate in the upcoming game after further evaluation.
In a similar vein, injured shortstop Bo Bichette’s progress was also discussed by Schneider. Bichette, who has been sidelined since a collision in early September, is gradually recovering but has yet to test his running abilities. Despite the setbacks, Schneider remains hopeful about Bichette’s return.
The Blue Jays are facing a challenging series against the Mariners, who currently hold a 3-2 lead. With critical games ahead, Toronto is gearing up to make a comeback and secure a spot in the next round of the playoffs.
