Bo Bichette will be absent from the Toronto Blue Jays lineup in the upcoming American League Division Series. The talented shortstop has been dealing with a knee sprain, and his availability for the crucial games has been uncertain. Blue Jays manager John Schneider mentioned recently that the decision on Bichette’s participation was imminent.
The Blue Jays are set to kick off their best-of-five series at their home ground against the New York Yankees this Saturday. Bichette sustained his knee injury on September 6 during a game against the Yankees while playing at home plate.
Prior to his setback, the 27-year-old athlete led Major League Baseball with an impressive tally of 181 hits across 139 games. Despite missing the final three weeks of the season, Bichette managed to finish tied for second in hits. Moreover, he showcased his batting prowess by achieving a batting average of .311, hitting 18 home runs, and delivering 94 runs batted in.
