Former U.S. president Barack Obama is scheduled to present a keynote address at a Canadian think-tank event in Toronto. The 44th president will be the main speaker at Canada 2020’s gala held at the Fairmont Royal York. During his time in office, Obama visited Canada on three official occasions, with his first visit in 2009 to meet former prime minister Stephen Harper in Ottawa. Subsequently, he attended G8, G20 summits, and the North American Leaders’ Summit in Canada. This upcoming event in Toronto will mark his second visit to the city. The think-tank’s goal is to promote progressive policy development for a more equitable and forward-looking Canada.
