The incident occurred on May 2, 2025, when six-year-old Lilly Sullivan and her four-year-old brother Jack were reported missing from their residence in rural Lansdowne Station, located around 140 kilometers north of Halifax. Despite the passage of time, there have been minimal developments in determining their whereabouts, with a senior RCMP official indicating a low likelihood of the children still being alive.
During the “Rally for Justice” held outside the Stellarton detachment in Nova Scotia, the paternal grandmother of Jack and Lilly expressed frustration at the lack of information from the RCMP over the past year. She emphasized the importance of demanding transparency and answers from law enforcement without compromising the ongoing investigation. The community support received from across the country and globally has been a source of solace amidst the distress caused by the case’s stagnation.
Participants at the rally displayed placards featuring images of the missing children and straightforward messages such as “Enough Waiting” and “Justice for Jack and Lilly.” The crowd, at one point, lined the main street in Stellarton, chanting for answers and justice.
