RCMP in the northern region of Manitoba have unveiled fresh images in connection with an unresolved homicide case dating back to 2024. Steven Seela, aged 28, was discovered deceased outside a residence on Pipe Road in Thompson on November 28, 2024. Post-mortem analysis revealed that he had succumbed to gunshot wounds, yet no arrests have been made.
During mid-April of this year, the RCMP strategically displayed billboards and posters in various spots throughout the northern city to draw attention to the case. Authorities emphasized that the investigation into Seela’s demise has been ongoing, stressing the necessity of additional information to propel the case forward.
In efforts to gather more leads, law enforcement canvassed numerous households and engaged with over 110 individuals later that month, resulting in the identification of two dark-colored pickup trucks deemed relevant to the investigation. The RCMP recently shared images of these trucks, highlighting their presence in the vicinity of the shooting incident.
According to a recent news release by the RCMP, individuals associated with these vehicles are believed to possess crucial information pertinent to the case. The public is urged to step forward with any details that could aid in identifying those linked to the trucks. Anyone possessing information is encouraged to reach out to the RCMP tip line at 431-489-8106.
